I grew up loving basketball. By the time I was four, I was already in leagues and going to camps. When I was seven, my mom and grandma would pack up the car, and we’d drive eight hours to see the Houston Comets play. We didn’t have endless money, but we always found a way—because the game mattered to us.

Now, women’s sports are finally getting the attention they’ve long deserved. That’s incredible. But with the growth has come a lot of noise: toxic takes, gatekeeping, clout-chasing, and rising prices that make it harder for fans to feel like they belong.

That’s why I started Banner Year—to support the fans who love the game, and to build something that gives back to them.

This brand is a thank-you to the fans who have always been here—and a welcome to the ones just finding their way in. It’s not about who’s been around the longest or who yells the loudest.
